So true. I had to leave the 2 kids in divorce when they were 1/2 and 1 1/2 years old. Got custody of them in early teens. I felt like I had to change their names to Suspect #1 and Suspect #2. They are in early 30’s now. Thanks visit my blog.

Brilliant! Reminds me of my hyperactive son back before hyperactive became a buzz word. I made the mistake of catching flu and going to sleep in a chair in the living room while I was watching my 16-month old. When I woke up, he was on the kitchen counter – stuck – because he had emptied out every cabinet in the kitchen and flour, sugar, assorted baking items, etc. were spread across the counter and spilled over on the floor. He couldn’t climb down the way he had climbed up. I don’t think I ever let myself get sick again until he was in school! The followed the perfect career path, however, the United States Marine Corps. That focused his surplus energy in a positive direction!
